Conway residents Amanda Mangus and Matt Gill said “I do” April 7 at An Enchanting Evening in Little Rock. Check out these beautiful lake-inspired engagement shots by Zoë Weddings by Kim, and don’t miss their love story as told by Amanda:
Matt and I had talked marriage over the years. It really only came down to Matt popping the question, though I wasn’t expecting a proposal any time soon.
Last April, just before our 10-year dating anniversary, Matt took a work trip to Colorado, so I tagged along for a vacation. We skied the first day in Colorado and made a trip to the quaint town of Breckenridge for dinner and shopping. After dinner, Matt took me for a stroll in a nearby park. He was acting strange, but with the long day, I didn’t think to much of it.
We stopped on wooden bridge. While looking at the mountains, he asked me if I thought this place was pretty. I babbled about how beautiful it was and how much I loved it. When he made no reply, I turned and looked at him. He reached into his pocket for a little blue box, got down on one knee and said, “Amanda, when I tell people how long we’ve dated, they say 10 years is a long time to be with someone. But it’s not long enough for me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” I could barely contain my excitement as he asked me the one question I had been waiting to hear for so long. “Yes, of course I will marry you!” Needless to say it has been the best vacation ever and one I will always remember.
