Chris and Claire met through their mothers who volunteered at a local non-profit together. The two fell in love at first sight and knew they were meant to be together.
When Chris wanted to pop the question, he wanted to do it on a night Claire would never suspect…his birthday! June 1st is not only Chris’s birthday but also the wedding anniversary of Claire’s parents. On the night of the proposal, Claire had made dinner reservations with all of Chris’s closest family and friends at his favorite restaurant. Before dinner, Chris brought Claire to her grandparent’s house for “cake” with her grandmother. In her grandparent’s backyard, where her parents got married 35 years ago, Chris got down on one knee and asked Claire to marry him.
The couple celebrated the engagement at her parent’s house with their family and friends afterward.
Claire and Chris are tying the knot on June 13, 2020, at the First United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
