Mary Beth Williams of Bryant and Aaron Bailey of Cabot are engaged. The couple is set to tie the knot Oct. 27 at the Junior League of Little Rock.
Aaron and Mary Beth met at her sorority’s Tri Sigma formal in 2008. Although they went with other people, the two managed to find each other and exchanged numbers.
“After almost two years of dating, we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. On the morning of Oct. 29, 2011, Aaron gave me an early morning wake-up call before we attended UCA’s Homecoming festivities. We drove from my parent’s cabin on Petit Jean Mountain to the gravesite overlooking the Arkansas River. We climbed down on the ledge and talked about how beautiful it was up there. He proceeded to tell me that you could see the whole world on top of the mountain but all he saw was his world in my eyes. He then got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. After several foot stomps and repeating, ‘No you aren’t’ about a dozen times, I finally nodded and said yes,” Mary Beth said.
