Cabot relocatees Cassie Huckabee of Batesville and Steven Lang of West Chester, Pa. are set to tie the knot Aug. 3 at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. Steven and I were on a road trip to Pennsylvania over my Christmas break to visit his family. It was around 6 a.m., and we had driven all night. I was still asleep in the car, and I heard the GPS say “you have arrived at your destination.” I quickly awoke to see a beautiful lighthouse on Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.
I love lighthouses and just thought Steven wanted to show me one because I had never seen one in person before that day. I was by the bay looking at the lighthouse, and Steven called my name. I turned around and he was on one knee with the ring — he proposed to me at the Havre de Grace lighthouse on Chesapeake Bay as the sun rose. It was the sweetest proposal.
