Molly and Jens were born and raised in Little Rock, and attended the same high school. They were five years apart, however, and never crossed paths—even though their parents are best friends! Molly and Jens always seemed to miss one another, but continued to live in the same cities as they grew older. One night, their parents ran into one another, had dinner and planned to set the Molly and Jens up together. The next thing Molly knew, she was getting a text from Jens asking her out for a drink. It didn’t work out, and yet another year passed before meeting. Jens, who’d recently moved back to Little Rock, took a leap of faith and traveled to Dallas (where Molly was living at the time) to finally meet her. Turns out, it was a perfect match all along. Nine months later, the kismet couple was engaged.

Q & A
Q: Tell us about your flower choices.
A: “I wanted to incorporate purple, and we decided to add shades of blue, as well. I also wanted to keep it classy and elegant...My wedding bouquet [consisted of] white orchids. We incorporated those into the floral arrangements, as well.”
Q: What is your secret to wedding planning success?
A: “Hire a planner or, at the very least, a day-of coordinator,” Molly said. “Prioritize what is most important to you, so you can budget accordingly.”
Q: How did you customize your wedding?
A: “We really tried to make our wedding as personal as possible,” Molly said. “We had fun fact napkins…my mother-in-law and sister-in-law custom-painted four huge canvases that we hung at the reception surrounding our guest book… Lastly, we made sure our catering included German cuisine, as Jens is half-German.”
MAKE A STATEMENT
Molly decided to surprise her guests by leaving the ceremony space white and then wow-ing them with an explosion of blue and purple flowers at the reception.
SPECIAL MOMENTS
“I loved the first dance with my dad, as well,” Molly said. “I’ve always been a daddy’s girl, it was so special and surreal. A moment most of us girls dream about one day!”
SIGNATURE DRINKS
“We had custom drinks,” Molly said. “Mine was called ‘Strike a Pose’ as a nod to my modeling career, and Jens’ was called ‘Hole in One’ as he played golf in college. Then, we had one called ‘The Romeo Special’ as a nod to our Australian Shepherd, Romeo.”
