Cady Baker of Malvern and Trevor Stone of Magnet Cove, who now live in Arkadelphia, are engaged. The couple plans to wed Saturday, June 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Malvern.
Cady and Trevor met when they were in the third grade but didn’t start dating until their junior year of high school. After graduation they followed each other to Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.
The proposal came on June 9, 2011.
“Trevor took me to our favorite place, an open field in Gurdon, Arkansas with round hay bales scattered throughout. Trevor told me that Jax (our dog) had a present for me, but I had to find where it was hidden. With Jax on a leash and his nose to the ground, I followed behind as he sniffed his way to my present, which contained dog treats beside it. When I opened the box, there was nothing inside. I looked back at Trevor in confusion and he was holding my ring in his hand. Of course I said yes!”
