Shelby Werner of Springdale and Chase White of Rogers, both current residents of Springdale, are engaged to be married Sept. 2 on the beach in Destin, Fla. Congrats, guys!
Chase and I met through my brother. He and my brother were deployed to Afghanistan with each other in 2010. When they returned in November 2010, a group of us all traveled to Austin, Texas to participate in a Warrior Dash. Chase and I had only met briefly prior to going to Austin, but we had a great time that weekend and really hit it off. We’ve been together ever since. On Jan. 10, 2012, he made me the happiest girl in the world and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes. ๐
