Rachel Sisson of Magnolia and Shaun Hatch of Pocahontas are engaged and are planning their wedding for Oct. 20 at Marion Church of Christ. The couple, who reside in Jonesboro, shared their engagement story with us.
After being introduced by a mutual friend and dating for two years, Shaun surprised Rachel with a spur-of-the-moment weekend in Little Rock. On a Saturday night in March, as they were walking into a restaurant to have dinner with what Rachel thought was just one other couple, Shaun knelt down on the sidewalk and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. When they finally entered the restaurant after Rachel had accepted the proposal, they were greeted with a surprise group, as Shaun had arranged for all their closest friends and family members to be there to surround them with love and celebrate the start of their journey together.
