Luke and I met our freshman year at Arkansas Tech University through the introduction of my best friend! We had eyes for each other, but never made it official. He transferred to the UofA his sophomore year and we casually kept in touch until our senior year. After a few friendly encounters he made it clear that he wanted to pursue me, and it’s been a whirlwind since then!
He proposed to me the day after he got back from his extended mission trip in Thailand, where he had my favorite picture of us drawn by a local artist. But, he had the artist add the engagement ring to my hand in the picture. He uncovered the drawing, got on one knee, and recited the sweetest proposal. He proposed in a field with a hidden photographer and videographer. It was perfect.
