Hiedi Withers of Warren & Jimmy Mason of Dallas, Texas, who reside in Little Rock, are getting married! The couple set their date for Sept.15 at Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs.
We love their engagement story, so we thought we would let the Hiedi tell it:
“Jimmy and I were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. I almost didn’t show, but looking back, I am so glad I did! About 14 months later, I was so surprised when I came home from work and found him already at my house cooking dinner. I thought this was a little strange since it was so late, but he said he was hungry and asked if I would like some, to which I replied, “No, I’m on a diet.” I went to my room to change, and when I opened the door there were tea light candles and rose petals everywhere. I noticed a big purple present on the bed, and went over to open it. At this point, I had no idea, because it is not unusual for him to buy me “just because” gifts. I opened the present, and inside was a smaller box, and in that one a smaller box, and on and on until the final box was the ring box. At this point, I realized what was happening and tore open the ring box only to find it empty. I looked up and he was on one knee with my ring in his hand. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect ring or engagement.”
