Conway residents Caitlin Rasche and Tyler Rogers will exchange vows on July 19, 2014 at the Princess Cruise Line in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

It was Christmas Day and Caitlin had just arrived at her parents house in Rogers for the holidays, with Tyler showing up to the house that evening to spend time with her family. Caitlin’s sister, Allison, and her husband, Scott, suggested they drive to the University of Arkansas campus to see their names engraved on the sidewalk, then visit the Fayetteville Square to see the amazing light display they do every year. They walked the entire square together and Tyler turned to Caitlin and told her that he had gotten her one more Christmas present. Then, in front of the entire square, Tyler got down on one knee and told Caitlin, ‘You have been my best friend for six years. We have been there for each other every step of the way. You are my everything and I want to take care of you forever, so I got your mom flowers and took your dad out for lunch and got his permission. Will you make me the happiest guy in the world and marry me?’ Tearfully, she said ‘yes.’ Noticing that the local news was there that evening, the newly engaged couple was able to share their moment on the nightly news.
