Charity Norwood of Brookland and Josh Foster of Jonesboro — both current residents of Jonesboro — are engaged to be married Oct. 6 at the Victory General Baptist Church in Jonesboro with a reception at the home of the bride’s grandmother. Congrats guys! Here’s their story, as told by Charity:
Josh and I went to Branson the weekend of Dec. 9, 2011 to see the Christmas lights at Silver Dollar City. Little did I know that his mom and sister were about 20 minutes behind us the entire day. Josh suggested we stand in front of the big tree in the park.
As I was fumbling through my pockets for my camera, he asked what I was doing. I replied that I was getting my camera. He asked why I was looking for my camera, that “they” were taking pictures. When I turned around to look for “them” he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was completely shocked that he proposed and that his family was there taking pictures the entire time.
