Andree + Holden’s Timeless Wedding in Little Rock

Hot Springs natives Andree Muldoon and Holden Ledbetter have lived a lovestory as old as time. When they met in high school in 2012, it was love at first sight. After a month of getting to know each other, they started dating, and five years later, Holden proposed in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World.

Andree spent a year preparing for the wedding, which she planned from start to finish on her own. She says she has always loved to throw parties and plan events, so this was her time to shine! With the help of dedicated Arkansas vendors and an overflowing Pinterest board, Andree created the wedding of her dreams.

The couple had a timeless wedding in Little Rock’s Clinton Presidential Center on Sunday, May 28, 2018. The ceremony’s color story was navy, steel blue, light pink, and maroon with gold accents. The boho decor was simple, romantic, and classy, with many DIY elements.

Here are a few shots of Andree and Holden’s big day and the stories behind them:

On the ring and wedding band: “Holden went shopping for my engagement ring the week before we left for vacation. He picked out a few of his favorites and then asked my friends for advice. Even though I didn’t know what I wanted in an engagement ring, Holden picked out the perfect one! It turns out that the shape of my ring, pear, is the same shape that most of the women in my family’s rings were, too. It is absolutely perfect. My wedding band was actually my grandma’s 25th-anniversary ring. My grandpa and I were very close growing up, but he passed away in 2014, so having the ring that he gave my grandma as my wedding band was more special than any designer ring I could have purchased from a store. Sissy’s Log Cabin, the jeweler my engagement ring is from, resized and cleaned my grandma’s ring and made it mine!”

On the blooms: “Since all the wedding party’s outfits were fairly neutral, I really wanted flowers to bring in a nice pop of color. I also adore greenery filled bouquets, so of course, there was plenty of that! My bouquet was cascading and filled with quicksand roses, proteas, snapdragons (which really added the perfect cascading element to the bouquet), dahlias, white anemones, pink O’Hara roses, burgundy ranunculus, coral charm peonies, silver dollar eucalyptus, blue thistle, and more.”

On the first dance song: “Our first dance song was ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, and Holden’s best friend, Caleb, played the piano and sang it for us! It was such a special moment! We chose this song because it is one we have listened to together since it was released, and we feel that it describes our relationship really well!”

On planning advice to brides: “Don’t be afraid to take control of the planning if that’s something you’re into! I heard so many of my already married friends talk about how much they did not enjoy wedding planning, but it was an absolute blast for me. Planning the wedding myself made the whole process feel so much longer, more special, and meaningful to me! And it is literally incredible to see the final product of all your hard work pay off.”
