Beautiful Memories
“My favorite memory is the ceremony itself,” says the bride. “It was overwhelming to walk out and see all of our loved ones there to support us as we said our vows.

ย

“When I reached Nik, everything else just melted away. We used wedding vows written by my dad, who passed away two years ago. The whole experience was beautiful.”

ย

Southern Charm
The Hamilton House appealed to Kirk Anne because she grew up in an old house and spent four years living amid the fine Southern homes of Charleston. “Hamilton House has lots of intimate space, which we thought would be ideal for people to be able to mingle and spend time together,” she notes.

A Perfect Fit
Kirk Anne’s dress was by 2be Bride. “It was the opposite of what I thought I wanted,” she notes. “The woman who assisted me at House of Bride in Chicago suggested I try it on. It was a perfect fit. It had spaghetti straps and ivory lace รขย€” a vintage look that was perfect for the wedding we were planning.”

Outdoor Romance
The couple wanted the wedding to be fun and relaxing for everyone. The wedding and reception site reflected their love of nature, as the grounds are surrounded by Lake Hamilton and filled with azaleas, tall pines, ornamental shrubs, flowers, fountains and lights. Her flower girl, Sara Belle Scott, wore summer flowers in her hair and an heirloom dress.

A Touch of Pink
Kelly Efird at Marie’s in Hot Springs chose and arranged the flowers for the wedding. “For the bouquet, I wanted something that had some pink, but that was not too over-powered by color,” explains Kirk Anne. “Kelly really took control and did an excellent job.”

Summer Flowers
Kirk Anne asked Kelly to use fiddlehead ferns in the centerpieces. Kelly also used white roses to balance the bright pinks and greens of the flowers and ferns. Many of the centerpieces were arranged in antique silver vases from the bride’s family, adding a personal touch to the reception.
