Sarah Smith and Andrew King danced the first time they met at a party at the University of Arkansas. Their dance immediately kindled a friendship, but soon, Andrew moved home to Little Rock and Sarah stayed in Fayetteville. Andrew, however, found himself calling Sarah all the time, and eventually, it turned into a romance that included lots of back-and-forth trips. When Sarah graduated, she packed up and moved to Little Rock.
On her birthday in 2012, Andrew presented Sarah with a huge birthday gift sack. Inside the sack was a large box and in that box was a smaller one. Sarah continued opening boxes until she reached a small box with a gorgeous ring inside. He got on one knee and proposed. “I burst into tears and of course said ‘yes,’” she says.
