Bridal Shower Ideas: Cakes, Gifts & More

It’s strawberry season here in Arkansas, what better way to showcase these seasonal delights than on a bridal shower dessert table. Here are some of my dessert ideas and planning tips that will make your bridal shower bloom!

• Whenever planning a bridal shower it’s important to decide on a theme and then choose a color scheme to go along with it. I decided on strawberries as my theme and used my vintage tablecloth and service ware to guide me in the color scheme. Which were red, pink, and white.

• Plan out the dessert table. I always start by deciding on what my centerpiece will be, usually it is a large cake on a stand. Then build around that with many different desserts at different heights on the table. Here I have a strawberry charlotte as the centerpiece and I have surrounded it with different petit desserts, all keeping with the theme and color scheme.

Give your guests a special gift at the end of the shower to remember the day by. Here I have baskets of fresh strawberries with scratch made shortcakes and a vanilla bean for the whipped cream.
