Ben and I were introduced on May 21, 2011 at a crawfish boil. His sister-in-law had a hunch we would hit it off-- I'm glad she was right. We dated long-distance for almost two years before Ben moved from Dallas back to Rogers.
We were engaged in Sonoma, Calif. on Aug. 24, 2013. Ben and I were on vacation with his family to celebrate his parents' 35th wedding anniversary. He proposed in a garden at the house we were staying in. Afterward, we celebrated with his family by the pool with a champagne toast!
