Little Rock couple Natalie Petty and Chris Jaggers will exchange wedding vows Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Rogers House in Little Rock.

At my 30th birthday party, one of my long-time friends, Stephanie, came over to my house and wanted to introduce me to one of her husband's friends. When my future fiancé, Chris, walked through the door, I was shocked -- he was so handsome. I became a little nervous, but he was so fun and made me laugh throughout our whole date! We spent just about every day together for that whole week.
About a year-and-a-half later on April 1, April Fool's Day, I went to his apartment after work and I caught him trying to surprise me with my favorite crab leg meal. After dinner, he pulled out a fake ring and said, "Will you marry me?" At first I got excited but then quickly saw that it was the fake ring he had found a few weeks prior. When I realized it was April Fool's Day, I was so mad at him. As I continued to pout about his April Fools' Joke, he opened a real ring box.
He got down on one knee and proceeded to say sweet things and finally asked me to marry him. We texted our family and friends and posted it on Facebook and some people did not believe us because again, it was April Fool's Day!
