CARLY GLOVER & ANTHONY TOTH

May 14, 2022 | The Reserve at Hot Springs | Kim Christopher Photography

Carly and Anthony are a Hinge success story! The night he proposed, Anthony asked Carly out to dinner. Dinner just so happened to be in Eureka Springs, as this not-what-it-seemed date night turned into a surprise weekend getaway. Even more surprising was the private cabin proposal Anthony had in store for Carly. Her answer was yes, and the two began planning the wedding of their dreams.

Carly knew right away she wanted a wedding that was likened to a Southern estate, and she didn’t have to work hard to create this feel for their guests. The Reserve at Hot Springs hotel and venue is a true Southern estate with rich history and elegant design.

She requested white lilies with touches of blue and peach in her florals to bring sophistication and Southern charm to the tablescapes. It was a timeless Southern affair in the Ouachita Mountain valley.

Q & A

Q: Secret to wedding-planning success?

Zoom meetings,” Carly said. “I often opted for Zoom instead of the normal phone call. Being able to share my notes and inspiration images on the screen for everyone to follow along made it much easier to explain the ideas and visions I had for the wedding.”

Q: How did you customize your wedding?

We had a surprise after-party following the send-off,” Carly said. “No one even had to leave the venue; we utilized the beautiful greenhouse that was on-site. While everyone was doing sparklers for our (fake) exit, the planning team was quickly transitioning the greenhouse into a disco-themed after-party called Club Toth.”

Q: Favorite moment of the day?

All the candles on the tables were lit, so it was stunning,” Carly said. “Instead of doing the speeches at the rehearsal dinner, we saved them for the wedding dinner. They were heartfelt and had everyone laughing and crying together. It was a moment I'll never forget.”

Q: What detail made the day more special to you?

“I changed three times during the wedding,” Carly said. “I was worried it would make me look like a diva, but I'm so happy I didn't allow that to talk me out of it. It allowed me to enjoy the night even more because I was comfortable. As the night progressed, each dress change reflected the mood and shift in events.”

TWIST ON TRADITION

No wedding cake for these two. Cookies by the Doughmestic Housewife were the confection of choice instead.

TAKE IT FROM ME

“Ask your wedding planner or assign a bridesmaid or groomsman to politely pull you away when you get caught up in a long conversation with guests,” Carly said. “The night goes by so fast that you can easily spend the entire night having small talk with guests without realizing it. Highly recommend designating someone to do this so you can enjoy your day. Our wedding planner was great at doing this for us!
