Jourdan Stoddard

We at Arkansas Bride have enjoyed our Meet the Photographers series so much that now we want to highlight our hair and makeup stylists. They work hard to make brides and bridesmaids look and feel their best on the big day, and they deserve more than a little recognition for those last minute miracles.

First up, we have Jourdan Stoddard from Salon Scarlet. She started out as a freelance stylist while also working a full-time retail job, but she's been a professional wedding stylist at a salon for two years now. She describes her style as modernistic, boho and classy.

Let's take a peek into the life of Jourdan Stoddard.

What are details you especially pay attention to with a client?

Details I especially pay attention to with my clients are making them feel unbelievably special and paying attention to the smallest details.

What do you love about being a stylist?

Getting to be so creative and building relationships is what I love about being a stylist. Anyone can curl a person's hair, but I love getting to know each individual I come across while making them feel beautiful at the same time.

What price points can brides expect?

Brides and bridal party hair and makeup each run between $65-75 each.

What's one piece of advice you like to give brides on their big day?

My one piece of advice for every bride would be to soak up every single second! Take a look around and really enjoy every moment.

When you're not working, what do you like to do with your spare time?

When I’m not working, my spare time usually consists of trying new things in the beauty industry or continuing my education. The beauty industry is always changing  I love staying up to date on all of the latest trends.

What's your favorite way to unwind after a busy wedding session?

My favorite way to unwind after a busy wedding session always includes food and cocktails!
