If you’re anything like us, you can totally relate to Macaulay Culkin’s character in “Home Alone” with how captivated he is by Christmas trees and all the twinkling lights. And—if you’re anything like us—the thought of engagement photos filled with those lights sounds like a dream come true!

Lucky for us, Arkansas has numerous festive displays available for our enjoyment no matter what part of the state you live in. If you’re newly engaged (and a big Christmas lights fan), you’ll want to check out these top twinkling spots for great seasonal pictures.

 

The Enchanted Land of Lights and Legends, Pine Bluff In its 15th year, this exhibit has 1.2 miles of over 150 cheerful light displays, many of which are animated.

Little River County Courthouse, Ashdown The nearly 105-year-old building is fantastically decked out and looks so pure in its thousands of white lights. The Two Rivers Museum on Main Street just down the road is also a popular photo site.

Historic Downtown El Dorado Here you will find an incredible display of lights, including one of the largest manmade Christmas trees in the state. It’s worth any drive, short or long! 

Holiday Lights at Garvan Woodland Gardens, Hot Springs Well-known for its extravagant, memorable displays, these lights cover approximately 17 acres. Bundle up with your loved one and wander through the gardens, snap your pics (maybe even one with Santa), then enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and a free holiday concert held in the onsite chapel.

Christmas Wonderland, Crossett There’s too much to list! With over one million lights, snow machines, a tunnel of lights, laser light show, 20-foot snowman and trees, animated displays and more, this is a sight to see! 

Lights of the Ozarks, Fayetteville With 450,000 lights in the downtown square, you are sure to find good photo opportunities. You can even have your picture taken standing next to a lit-up Razorback if you so choose, as well as nightly carriage and pony rides, hot chocolate and jovial holiday music.  

Fort Smith Holiday lights can be found at River Park Downtown, Pendergraft Park, Garrison Avenue and the University of Arkansas Fort Smith campus. Creekmore Park also has bright, festive displays, as well as a train that runs on the grounds. 

Arkansas State Capitol, Little Rock Our capitol building is such a magnificent sight at Christmas time! The thousands of lights shine brightly, creating a dazzling image to see and capture! 

Holiday Lights on Bathhouse Row, Hot Springs This sight is worth seeing again and again. Beautifully colored lights adorn numerous buildings, fountains and trees along the downtown thoroughfare. The Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa features a giant indoor gingerbread house and a festive and fun Christmas tree.  

Fantasy in Lights, Jacksonville Who doesn’t love a competition that everyone can enjoy and take part in? This city-wide decorating contest features fantastic Christmas displays at homes, churches and businesses. You and your significant other are sure to have fun with this one! Enjoy the festive lights, pose for pictures and then nominate your favorite to be the grand prize winner!

Lights of the Delta, Blytheville There’s only one word for this one: huge! It is composed of a total of six million lights on a 40-acre former air force base. More than 30 motion displays make up the exhibit, but the festivities don’t end there. The downtown area also provides entertainment with caroling, concerts and more, to cap off your engagement sesh day!
