Lexi and Ben met in college when he approached her and asked if he could take a picture with the prettiest girl in the room. For several months, he asked her on many dates until she finally said yes. They went on their first date in 2017 and have been inseparable ever since!
In 2020, they traveled to Destin, Florida with a few friends for vacation. Before going to dinner, they decided to take a few pictures together on the beach. The next thing she knew, Ben was on one knee and she was so surprised!

INSPIRATION & DETAILS
Lexi loves pampas grass, which gave the style of their wedding a simple, bohemian design. The ceremony arch and walkway were covered in pampas grass–so dreamy! The bouquets and indoor florals used a lot of white and gold flowers with pops of greenery. Tipton & Hurst went above and beyond with the floral decorations.
“I think the arch at our wedding was really cool. The way the pampas grass was placed on the infinity arch was so pretty! We also did tall gold stands with candles and greenery on the long tables and it was so flowy and open. There are so many cool things you can do with art at weddings!”

Lexi and Ben’s secret to wedding planning success is to incorporate things both bride and groom would love. The couple decided early on they wanted to have a first look together. Lexi and Ben wanted to be alone at that moment to say their vows. Personal vows are such a great way for couples to customize an intimate moment on their special day.
Lexi and Ben's most worth-it splurge was the videographer. The day goes by fast and many moments may go unseen. Lexi loved looking back and reliving their best moments all over again. She recommends a videographer to everyone!
HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED
Lexi and Ben knew early on that they had to have the champagne wall. The stunning, one-of-a-kind wall adorned in off-white florals was a show-stopper. The pink champagne glasses were a nice touch!
Their wedding day colors were taupe, gold, white and blush. They used simple florals with lots of greenery for a classic design. Lexi's favorite florals of the day were the ranunculus flowers worn by the groomsmen. Hydrangeas and roses made the pink pop against the white and green.
Lexi’s advice to brides is to take it all in. Planning will be stressful, things will go wrong and it all goes by so fast! The day after their wedding, she was so happy about the way the day turned out, but sadly it was all over–many brides can relate!
“There will be people that do not agree or want you to do things a certain way, but it is a day all about the both of you in the end. If there is something you really want to do that's not considered normal, do it! You also do not have to do any of the traditional things people always do.”
