Sydney Anderson of Blakeman's Fine Jewelry

Blakeman's shares their top picks for your forever rings.

In 1987, Don and Lynn Blakeman opened Blakeman’s Fine Jewlery. They spent many years in the diamond industry before they decided to settle down and open their jewelry store, with the goal to build a family business with their sons Josh and Ben. Today, Ben is at the helm and passionately operates with the ethos: “Everyone leaves with a smile.” This idea is extended to everyone who enters the store and makes Blakeman’s a great place to be. It is this culture of family and service that has made Blakeman's one of the most successful and beloved jewelry stores in the state.

We checked in with Blakeman's social media and marketing specialist Sydney Anderson to get her take on working with couples — and to get her picks for the hottest wedding band trends.

“What I love about helping couples choose their rings is that each is so unique,” Sydney says. “Everyone selects a style that speaks to them and their lifestyle.”

What's Hot in Wedding Bands

HERS

“His for Her” – “I have a bride who’s opting for a wider men’s style band to mix into her wedding set. It’s a bold look, comfortable and something she can wear casually.”

The Classic – “This setting is known as shared prong. You see more diamond vs. metal for a high impact.”

The Petite – “This style is for the bride wanting a delicate look but with sparkle factor.”

HIS

Cabled Band – “This band gives you minimal texture that is both unique and comfortable to wear.”

Beveled Edge – “I love this type in platinum! With the shiny finish only on the edges of the ring, I feel that it's masculine and polished all at once.”

Streamlined with Black Diamonds – “This style is not for the meek of heart. The black diamonds are more subtle than other stone options but are definitely a conversation starter.”
