Alexia Vannucci & Jackson Mosley
July 27, 2019 / Little Rock
Goodwin Manor

Alexia Vannucci and Jackson Mosely started their love story while attending the University of Arkansas. When it came time to propose, Jackson told Alexia they were going to a nice dinner and to get dressed up. When they got to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Rogers, Jackson had prearranged with the staff to video the special moment when he got down on one knee.

THE INSPIRATION

The couple got right to work planning their late July wedding. Alexia knew she wanted a rich color palette and landed on deep magenta, blush, peach and agave. The venue was an easy decision since Goodwin Manor offers such gorgeous views. As for the wedding day fashion, Alexia found her dream dress at Low’s Bridal & Formal in Brinkley. It was a silk V-neck gown made of dupioni silk with a full pleated skirt and pockets. As for the groom, he wore a black tux with a bow tie and his groomsmen wore matching tuxes with skinny ties.

HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED

Alexia’s bridesmaids each carried a different bouquet filled with one bloom in different shades of magenta. The bouquets included dahlias, sweet peas, peonies, tea roses, and hellebores each wrapped in an agave blue velvet ribbon. As for the ceremony décor, the bride created a garden-like atmosphere with 9-foot Japanese maples in custom-built containers overflowing with bougainvillea, cafe au lait dahlias, red garden roses and different shades of pink snaps flanking the end of the aisle.

After the ceremony, guests were served drinks in rose gold monogrammed cups, along with cocktail napkins that read “Cheers, y’all.” The bar featured custom signage along with trays of fresh cherries and rose gold straws. Gold mercury lamps added some dazzle to the bar.

COLOR STORY

Guests were treated to a seated dinner on the manor lawn. Tables were decorated in lush velvet linens and monochromatic florals. There was a lounge with high-back acrylic chairs, agave blue velvet chairs and a blush couch. The jazz band played throughout the night and a live painter captured the scene on canvas.

When it came to her favorite moment of the day, Alexia says it was one of the only times they got to slow down and revel in the fact that they were now husband and wife. “My favorite moment was our first dinner as a married couple,” she says. “It was private and candle-lit in the wine cellar and really gave us time to slow down and take in the night with each other.”

The manor grounds perfectly fit the bride's vision of a garden wedding. The bride even requested 9-foot Japanese maples in custom-built containers overflowing with bougainvillea to exaggerate the garden feel.
