Kaitlyn Brown and Jack Shuffield said their I dos at Grandeur House on March 8, 2019, amidst a gorgeous sea of colorful blooms, personalized touches and one gorgeous cake.

Kaitlyn made this magical day a reality by working with the pros at JLK Weddings and ZuZu's Petals & Gifts for almost a year before she and Jack were even engaged.

"Getting to know these women and their staff made the experience of planning our own wedding all the more delightful and stress-free," she says.

Read on to find out more about this timelessly modern and colorful March wedding.

On that gorgeous gown: "My wedding dress was so different than I would have imagined but I love it all the more for that reason. Betsy, Unveiled's owner, felt like a true fairy godmother the day we picked out my dress. She was able to narrow down the options and help guide me to the modern timeless dress I fell in love with."

On her favorite bridal fashion elements: "Hands down one of my favorite details from the wedding was getting to wear Jack’s mother's veil in the ceremony and the hat my mother got married in to leave in. Getting to honor them while wearing a piece from both of their wedding days was something really special to me. I also really felt like 'Parent Trap' vibes were coming through with my mother’s hat, which is always an added bonus."

On her wedding style: "Classic garden-esque design with modern touches. I have a deep love for flowers after working at the flower shop so there were hand-painted floral elements throughout the wedding (cake, envelope liners, and more)."

On the wedding day blooms: "My bridal bouquet was a mix of textures and tones. All of the bouquets and boutonnieres were full of colors and I couldn’t have loved each one anymore. There were kumquats, tulips, garden roses, poppies, etc. throughout all the blooms and it was such a delight! It felt like ZuZu’s picked a flower from every garden in the best way!"

On the ceremony decor: "Asymmetrical ceremony focal point full of greens and muted and citrus tones with pops of brighter blooms mixed in. The white Chiavari chairs in the ceremony created a minimalistic blank canvas to allow the floral designs to pop."

On that beautiful cake: "A modern, hand-painted, work of ART. Sweet Lavender Bakeshop went above and beyond to create the most beautiful cake for us."

On wedding day snafus: "Thankfully there wasn’t really any chaos the day of the wedding. The only slight hiccup I found out about after the wedding was that Jack’s wedding band got stuck on his brother's finger for a little while… oops."

On the feeling of being pronounced husband and wife: "Relieved, overjoyed, excited… but mostly thankful to finally be husband and wife."
