Ellie Childress and Devin Dupree met at a small group leader retreat for Cross Church Fayetteville in the fall of Ellie's junior year of college. Ellie lost her keys at the retreat and Devin stayed behind to help her find them. When she finally left after finding the keys in her bag, she remembers driving home and thinking about what an incredible guy Devin is.

"Devin has been my best friend ever since," she says. "He's intentional, kind, intelligent, and somehow still offers to help me look for things I've lost with a smile on his face. I think it's pretty safe to say I'd be lost without him."

Here's their proposal story in Ellie's words:

"The morning Devin proposed, he took me out to Lake Fayetteville. We'd had our first date in this same spot over a year ago, eating food truck fried rice and watching the sunset out by the lake. Devin had strung lights over the bridge to our spot and hung pictures of us through the trees. We walked over to a table he had made for us and engraved in the side was "Dev + El, 11/11/18, " the date he proposed. He prayed over us and our marriage, then got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. The rest of that day was filled with surprise brunches and parties he had planned for our friends and family. November 11 currently holds the record for being the happiest day of my life until July 6, 2019!"

The two will tie the knot on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at The Grandeur House. We can't wait to see their big day!
