Diana Kirkland and her husband always dreamed of having their own event space. When a certain plot of land in Conway came up for sale, it was the perfect fit.

“What a blessing it was when it came up for sale,” Kirkland says. “We came up with the floor plans based on the layout of the land. Within the next month, our daughter became engaged so now we had a completion goal.”

The Space Itself

Kirkland says in the last few years, the area has offered a variety of rustic chic venues, so she wanted to branch out from that style with Legacy Acres. Instead, she opted for something timeless and white with covered porches and sophisticated columns.

“We wanted to keep everything simple and white,” she says. “We looked at many options but always loved the Southern Plantation style. It has a very welcoming look.”

The property has a few different spaces for brides to tie the knot. The chapel has a beautiful arched window in the back and can seat 320-plus guests. The outdoor pavilion features huge sliding wood doors that open up to the spacious pavilion.

The event center (perfect for receptions) boasts over 12,000 square feet with a caterer’s kitchen, balcony, 10-feet-wide chandeliers and a stage. The all-white space is the perfect blank canvas to create your dream wedding.
Legacy Acres also offers a Bride and Groom’s Suite for the wedding party to get ready in. Each suite offers plenty of seating and mirror space.

“I love the Bridal Suite and Groom's Suite,” Kirkland says. “I wanted to make the areas so special for the bride and her wedding party to spend the day! My favorite thing is to hear laughter through the cottage on the wedding day.”

What Brides Can Expect

Legacy Acres is a moderate priced venue with several options for the bride and groom to choose the perfect package for their budget. When you book your wedding at Legacy Acres, you also get the day before to set up so the day-of isn’t quite as stressful. Kirkland says that allows the family to focus on what is truly important: being together and celebrating the wedding.

With a booking at Legacy Acres, brides also get tables, specialty furnishings and a choice of three types of chairs — white Chiavari chairs, wooden x-back chairs and oval-back ghost chairs.

How to Book Your Wedding

Legacy Acres has been busy since opening on April 7. The space has already hosted six weddings and Kirkland says they have 30 more weddings booked, with more being scheduled for 2019 and 2020.

“We love meeting with the bride and groom and are honored they chose Legacy Acres to be a part of their day,” Kirkland says. “They come in as clients and leave as new friends. They are a part of our Legacy family.”
