Autumn Evans Beaulieu, one of the minds behind Petal Chik Designs, is starting a new business venture called Swoon | Wedding Blueprints. To kick off the new business right, Beaulieu is hosting a party on March 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Loft 1023 located at 1023 W. 7th St. in Little Rock.
The VIP evening will be filled with light fare, bubbly and lots of beautiful wedding ideas to see, smell and touch. Beaulieu and her business partner, Michelle Stewart of DYV Events will present the experience of the Wedding Blueprint and how it can save you time, money and stress. The night will also include fun giveaways and special discount pricing for those couples who book a Blueprint Planning Experience during the evening.
We chatted with Beaulieu about her new business and what Swoon can offer brides. (Spoiler alert: It's pretty cool, ladies!)
Q: What led you to create Swoon | Wedding Blueprints?
A: "This concept is an idea that has been bouncing around in my mind for several years," Beaulieu says. "I wanted to create a way for couples to be able to actually experience all of the choices their wedding vendors have to offer them together in one room. Something more personal than a large wedding expo, that showcased their actual wedding ideas and color palettes. Something that let them make choices easily and then move on to enjoy other memorable events leading up to the big day."
"Partnering with my friend Michelle Stewart of DYV Events, we spent many, many hours creating a fantastic plan to bring this concept to reality. Michelle’s experience with event planning, project consulting and working with local vendors paired with my design and concept ideas have brought forth this fun new venture."
Q: What will be offered with this new venture?
A: "Swoon Wedding Blueprints will offer a unique way for couples to create a detailed plan of their special day in a fun, comfortable environment," she says. "The couple will have an initial consultation with Swoon to discuss their ideas and desires for the wedding day."
"Then, the party! A Blueprint Experience party for the couple and their favorite people that will allow the them to see, hear, taste, touch, and feel all the elements of their upcoming event together in one room. There will be options for formality and design of the couple’s wedding vision, along with budgeting tips to consider with each detail. All done while the couple and guests enjoy an intimate party with hors d’oeurves, drinks and time with each other."
Q: What are you most excited about with Swoon?
A: "We cannot wait for the chance to create something that takes the stress out of planning for these couples," Beaulieu says. "We are also excited that we will be able to give couples and their families and friends one more wonderful memory together surrounding their wedding day!"
