North Little Rock native Kenya Newman and Chanson Thompson from Fordyce are tying the knot! The two will exchange vows on Saturday, September 26, at the Park on the River in Maumelle.

We're loving this cute couple's engagement sesh by Artez Irvin, and the unlikely story of how the two met from Kenya.

We both work for the railroad, so when I got called to work with him for the first time, I ended up switching trains and riding with someone else. My initial opinion of him was "he look like he has a lot of women." So as fate would have it, I caught the next 4 or 5 round-trips in a row with him, and we had 12 hours a day, one-on-one, to get to know each other. After the second trip, we exchanged numbers and I knew he would be my guy.

We started to date both here and at our away-from-home terminal and I quickly fell in love with him. His knowledge of his craft, his love of Christ and family and his respect for women made me let my guard down and trust him. He has treated me like a queen from day number one. He's the best man I've ever had the pleasure to know, and every day I'm glad that I met him. This has truly been a fairytale. I'm so excited to be able to spend the rest of my life with him.

So glad first impressions aren't everything! Congrats, Chanson and Kenya!
