Hot Springs girl Kelsey Bean and Texas native Kirk Van Slyke are about to say "I do." Kelsey and Kirk will tie the knot on Sunday, August 9, at Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs.

Rachel Kowalchuk of Sweet Tea Photography captured some seriously sweet photos of these two, but it's the couple's love story we just can't get over. Here it is in Kelsey's own words:

Kirk and I fell in love while in college at Arkansas State. We were both athletes; he was on the basketball team and I ran track. He quickly became my best friend and what I most looked forward to every day.

Everything about our relationship has been the greatest adventure, especially this past year as Kirk played his rookie professional basketball season overseas in Japan. I was still at ASU finishing nursing school, but no number of miles could have kept us from supporting each other. The distance was an opportunity for us to grow in our love together, constantly teaching us patience, kindness and communication. I visited him for a month in Japan, and it was heartbreaking all over again to say goodbye until May.

After we both thought the day would never come, Kirk came home after nine long months and asked me to marry him on May 23, 2015, on top of Pinnacle Mountain. With no time to waste, we quickly began planning what will be our incredible wedding day in Augustall before we jet off for another adventure together: his next basketball season in Europe! But this time we will be together... Forever.

We're all in for Team Van Slyke! Congrats, Kirk and Kelsey!
